• Reducing Waste: Minimize unnecessary waste generated during productions and day-to-day operations and prioritize reusable materials whenever practical.

• Reusing Production Resources: Maximize the useful life and repeated use of our company-owned cameras, lighting, lenses, grip equipment, production equipment, and support materials, reducing reliance on single-use or unnecessarily replaced resources.

• Responsible Recycling: Encourage recycling of paper, cardboard, plastics, metals, and other recyclable materials where appropriate recycling programs are available.

• Responsible Electronic Waste Management: Properly recycle or dispose of obsolete electronics, batteries, production equipment, and other electronic waste through appropriate recycling or disposal channels.

• Energy-Conscious Operations: Consider energy efficiency when purchasing or replacing lighting, production equipment, electronics, and other equipment and identify reasonable opportunities to reduce unnecessary energy consumption within our facilities and productions.

• Efficient Production Planning: Coordinate crews, equipment, transportation, and production logistics efficiently to reduce unnecessary travel, transportation, shipping, and associated resource consumption whenever operationally practical.

• Reduced Paper Consumption: Utilize electronic communications, digital documentation, electronic file delivery, and other paperless processes whenever practical.

• Responsible Purchasing: Consider durability, reusability, energy efficiency, environmental impact, and responsible disposal when evaluating products and equipment for purchase.

KLFS will continually work toward improving the environmental sustainability of our operations by:

1. Increasing the use of reusable and recyclable materials where practical.

2. Reducing unnecessary single-use materials and production waste.

3. Continuing to maximize the useful life of company-owned production equipment.

4. Utilizing responsible recycling and electronic waste disposal practices.

5. Evaluating energy-efficient alternatives when purchasing or replacing equipment.

6. Improving production planning and logistics to reduce unnecessary transportation and resource consumption.

7. Encouraging employees and production personnel to incorporate environmentally responsible practices into their daily activities.

8. Reviewing client-specific environmental and sustainability requirements and incorporating those standards into our operations when applicable.

Client & Production-Specific Requirements

We recognize that our clients may maintain their own environmental policies, sustainability objectives, and reporting requirements. KLFS is committed to working collaboratively with our clients to understand those requirements and, where applicable, incorporate them into our production planning and execution.

For clients such as The Walt Disney Company, KLFS is prepared to align project-specific practices with applicable client sustainability standards and requirements and communicate those expectations to personnel assigned to the account.
